Lenfer dominate second half to crush Terra Branca Pitbulls and clinch Cape Verde Cup title

Lenfer stormed past Terra Branca Pitbulls with a commanding 85-55 victory in the Cape Verde Cup, pulling away in the second half after a tight first two quarters. The game was closely contested in the opening half, with Lenfer holding a slim 35-33 lead at the break. But the second half told a different story, as Lenfer outscored Pitbulls 50-22, using their defense and fast pace to take full control. Dana Tate Jr. (201-F-1999, college: Norfolk St.) led Lenfer with 21 points on an efficient 8-of-11 shooting. He also added 4 rebounds and 1 assist. Mike Rodriguez was outstanding on both ends with 20 points, 5 assists, 5 steals and 3 rebounds. Nelson Gonzalez chipped in 16 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists. For Terra Branca Pitbulls, Terrel Williams had 12 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Aaron Calixte (180-PG-1994, college: Oklahoma) and Sayvonn Houston (201-C, college: Pine Manor) both added 9 points, with Houston also grabbing 5 rebounds.
